History  Mick in Hamburg in February 2009

Born in Dagenham Essex. Moved to Romford and formed first band called The Solution when aged 13.Bought my first drum kit - well 2 drums and a cymbal. Times were hard, I had saved up money from my paper round. Played at different parties doing all our own stuff which was very flower power orientated at the time. Yes I was over Rahael Park with my joss sticks and kaftan! Then joined The Inferno playing stuff like Equals and Monkees etc. Joined the Syndicate after that and bought a new Ajax kit (Wow)

We were great and used to play all chart stuff like T.Rex McGuiness Flint. Badfinger etc. Toured Cornwall for 2 weeks (we were on holiday really but we did 3 gigs) Then joined various bands, one being called  Bonk! Towards end 1972 formed 5 piece rock band called Mr. Jinx. Signed record deal with Dart Records and went on to support Ian Dury when he was with Kilburn & the High Roads and Leo Sayer. Used to be resident at the Cart & Horses, Maryland Point Stratford and the Empire in Edmonton. We thought this is it, we've cracked it but one guy left and we went down to a four piece. Was a frequent visitor to the Roundhouse Dagenham. Changed our name to Jinx then we disbanded. Went on to play in lots of bands doing Pubs, Clubs and Dinner Dances .Then joined Jeepers in the eighties and played all different styles-anything really. Split up in 9os and had a break for a while. Still use my original silver Hayman kit. Man it still sounds good!

Different bands I have been in, The Dynamo's, The Avenge, The Inferno, The Solution, Bonk, The Mutation, Mr.Jinx, Jinx, Late night love, Avalanche, Jacks Brother and his lads, Jim Brown Combo, Jeepers.
